Best Western Uptown is a 3 star hotel in Vancouver.
This city hotel features 69 elegantly-appointed guest rooms, all equipped with the many conveniences that have become synonymous with the Best Western name. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with a 24-hour check-in/check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facility, lift access, café, kiosk, mini-supermarket, restaurant, Internet access, as well as room and laundry services. A parking garage is available to guests arriving by car.
Pro:- 1. Helpful front desk & Staff, 2. Clean comfortable room & bed, 3. Good location--take a bus from front of the hotel to Train and downtown 4. Several good ethnic restaurants nearby and only a few minutes walk 5. Good A/C and well lit 6. Had Fridge and Microwave in room Con 1. Its not in the heart of the city --about 2-3 kms from city center but in the Mount Pleasant area. Area 3-4 blocks towards Vancouver is semi industrial and can be slightly dodgy at night 2. Gym is only open 8 AM to 8 PM and is very hot as it lacks good ventilation as well as A/C 3. Parking spots limited and breakfast room too tiny--I had to take my food back to my room 4. Kingsway Street can be noisy into the night--staff offered to change my room
Bottom Line-- Solid hotel with good value for money

It was a good value being fairly close to downtown. Parking was included in the price, it seems that other hotels in Vancouver and Seattle want an extra charge for parking. Exercise room was open 24 hours with floor to ceiling windows to view the mountains.

The location was okay, the motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly.
