Elegant Decor, Very well received and greeted, Expectations Met Only disappointment was the late check in - not until 3pm while checkout no later than noon unless medical emergency per front desk staff

This hotel was a great bargain (at least by Vancouver standards). The staff was welcoming and helpful, in particular bellman Jaron and concierge Albert, both of whom assisted us in lining up tours--which were excellent. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom large and well stocked with quality toiletries. Breakfast (full) was included in our package and the offerings were quite complete and of high quality. The only negative was that on the second day of our two day stay, the water temperature in the shower was highly erratic, going from cold to hot in an instant, requiring a lot of agility to keep from getting frozen or burned. We reported this to the desk at checkout and the attendant said they would "look into it" and IF it got to the manager, it probably did get attention. Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel.

We both thought that the hotel was a great find. First impression was based on the outside appearance and I had reservations BUT the room was nice and quiet at night. The hotel restaurant was delicous. It was within walking distance of some really good restaurants and shopping. The bell desk guy..I think his name was Mike..was awesome. Only con-room smelled like smoke evn though we requested non-smoking. We did not say anything to the front desk about it.

Everything about this hotel was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning / heating system worked well, and created a comfortable atmosphere without noticing that it was on. The service was great. The Concierge's were very helpful.
The only negative was the daily "wine tasting". It was a crock. And the service was snooty.
