Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

A beautiful grand hotel, with great customer service. Fabulous for a stay in downtown Vancouver, close to everything.
The restaurants and bars on site were a real plus. Will be sure to stay there again for the the luxury hotel experience.

I felt very comfortable here. The room was nice, and the location was great for me. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For example, I went out for a run at some point, and I'm sure I looked tired and disheveled when I returned (and soaked from the rain) and instead of getting weird looks, one of the staff offered me a complimentary bottled water. It was a very nice touch.

Overall it was a pleasant place, but it wasn't as grand as I was expecting at the prices they were charging, felt like an old hotel with not a whole lot of personality. If I were to stay in a Vancouver hotel again I would probably go someplace newer and smaller.
The room was cold and the thermostat limited how high you could push the temperature. Water pressure was pretty bad at times, although the bathroom fixtures were nice. The bathroom overall could do with a remodel, not as nice as the rest of the hotel.

It was a good-sized room, bed was wonderful, sleep was amazing, views were nice.

Service was excellent. Very grand landmark hotel. Great shopping and restaurants all around. Great sushi restaurant across the street, short walk to Robson St. What more can you ask for? Great value for money. Large rooms and great facilities.

P.S. Be careful of the bottled water and stuff animal, it is all sensored and once it is moved the item gets charged to your room automatically. Same for the bar fridge. Very annoying.
