Like I said in my last comment, I have never had a nicer home away from home. But also, I felt very safe. This was important since I had broken my arm my first day in Canada. The helplessness one feel in such situations, they blew away with the most excellent service fare beyond what one can ask for

The staff at Plaza 500 i Vancouver are the best hotel-staff I have ever come across. They were all, and I mean ALL very nice. They gave me a home away from home I did not want to leave. 16 unforgettable days. The reseption, the citchen, the waiters, the cleaners, thanks to all of them for being so wonderful. Thank you all!!!! --

Downtown Vancouver had enclosed parking for as little as $5 per day. Plaza 500 wanted their guests to pay $20 per day although patrons of their restaurant could park for free. Also the only available transportation to and from the airport/hotel was taxi.

Sheraton Plaza 500

It was decent value for the money. The only concern was the parking charge. Weren't informed when we checked in that parking was $20.00 a night plus taxes. However, great location, directly across the street from a terrific food court. Also, on a direct bus route to shopping and other attractions.

This hotel is a great location for business travels. Its central and it is close to restaurants so walking is not a problem. It is a bit older but always clean and the service and food are great.
