Hotel was in an excellent location. Single room was extremely small, but quiet and clean. Good breakfast, good value for money.

The hotel is in a brilliant location - central to everything worth seeing. Breakfast was great. Check-in was poor, bedrooms disappointing and very small for a four star hotel. The bar they advertise is a counter off the breakfast room which was never open.

Basic but very clean room. Beautiful dining room and excellent buffet breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was wonderful! On main shopping street within walking distance of museums and other major attractions.

The Astoria was a beautiful older hotel in a very central location. The room was large and he bathroom was huge. I was there in early December 2003 and it was woonderful walking around and looking at all of the Christmas lights and the Christmas shoppers filling the streets.
Breakfast was excellent and the service was very good.
The only issue was the construction going on right across the street from the side of the hotel I was staying on. The construction started as early as 6AM and actually continued until 10 or 11PM - and it was extremely loud in my room, even trying to sleep with ear plugs. If the construction is completed, or if rooms on the other side of the building were available, I would strongly recommend this hotel.
