The Hotel Wien was nice

The staff was friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent. Our television did not work, but that didn't matter as were were exhausted from exploring the city.

A Reasonably Good Hotel but watch where your room is located in the Summer

Good points Very Clean and well run Hotel Good Breakfast Very Close to Metro Station Reasonable value for money Nice to have outdoor area for breakfast Bad points Rooms on the main road are very noisy with the windows open. With no air conditioning this is a real problem in the summer. The area surrouning the hotel is ok but not wonderful. If we were to return to Vienna would choose a hotel in another location Having read previous glowing reports have to say was a little disappointed with the hotel but this was probably because we stayed at the wonderful new Falkensteiner Hotel in Bratislava before travelling to Vienna.

Good Hotel for the Price

For the price we paid (~100 USD/night), this was a very good hotel. It is a block from one of Vienna's major train stations (Wien Nord/Praterstern - S7 goes directly to the airport, U1 directly to the center of the city), the breakfast buffet is more than adequate, and the staff was, with a few exceptions, willing and happy to help with your needs. However, expect what you would expect in most European hotels - a very small room, and a shower in which you may not be able to turn yourself around.

Great place to stay in Vienna!

The Austria Classic Hotel is fabulous for a couple of reasons. The first is the value for money. I have now stayed in 11 Vienna hotels and this one is as nice as some costing upwards of 160 Euros per night. The hotel staff is wonderful and accommodating. They take pride in their establishment and work with their customers to make the stay pleasant. The breakfast is also very good and the location near the Prater is not far from the city center and shopping streets. All in all, you will be pleased you stayed at this nice hotel.
