Friendly staff, residential hotel great for kids (kitchenette)...location near where I used to live in Dupont Circle so it made me feel a little like I lived there again...parking limited...walk to metro...great neighborhood!

A convenient and comfortable base for visiting & exploring DC. Very good value. The Carlyle Suites, Washington DC Are well situated 5mins walk from the Metro at Dupont Circle which is also the location for numerous restaurants and food outlets and less than 20 minute walk to White House. Staff friendly. Room good size. with well equippedkitchen. Bathroom has no bath but very good sized shower. Room Had high speed internet but required Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi available in lobby area. Hotel adjacent to Embassies so mainly used by business people. Hotel short on car parking space for its size. Free parking on roadway overnight in daytime limited to 2hours. However spaces become available in morning as people check out. Reception staff Mustafa and Simon particularly helpful & notified us when spaces became free. Alternatively secure paid parking available nearby for about $15 a day. Would use again

I would recommend this hotel to others in terms of its attractive art deco style. It is especially impressive considering the reasonable rates and attractive surrounding neighborhood.

The hotel was very well located to Dupont circle and Metro; room was spacious, attractive and clean, on a quiet back courtyard; with a small couch and coffee table; small kitchen was handy.;they didn't have filters for the coffee maker but gave us some oversized ones from the kitchen which worked out fine. We had a corner suite which was larger than average and had lots of windows. Not a steal but overall a good value.
Attractive bar and restaurant but very little business in them from what we saw.
We will definitely stay there again.
