This property offers a complimentary red wine and red beer hour on weekdays and complimentary Bloody Mary bar and cold pizza on weekends. This is a very unique boutique hotel. (01/08:JB) Located on Embassy Row, steps away from the downtown business district and Dupont Circle. 15 minutes from Reagan National Airport and 7 minutes from Union Station. This 10 story modern facility was built in 1967. Small, contemporary lobby with trendy lobby bar. 137 rooms including 12 speciality rooms are decorated with a bold pop-culture design. Rooms offer fully stocked mini bars and complimentary high-speed Internet access, Dual-line cordless speakerphone, Sony Vega flat-screen television, CD player and bath amenities. All Hotel Rouge guest rooms are non-smoking, in-room safe, bath amenities, coffeemaker and free coffee, animal-print terry robes, hair dryer, iron / ironing board, daily delivery of NY Times, complimentary in-room yoga program.

We found the hotel staff very welcoming when we arrived to check in and this continued throughout our stay.Although we did not stay for breakfast there was complimentary coffee and tea on a morning and through the week free wine and beer between 5pm and 6pm.The hotel room that we were given was very spacious and very well maintained. We found it to be in a good position to visit the washington sights with shopping and restaurants and the metro all within 10 minutes walk. We would definateley stay there again if we were to revisit Washington.

This is a great hotel. Quiet street, great location, spacious rooms, funky decor, and of course, the wine/beer/pomegranate juice offered each evening was great! I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to others. It isn't too close to a metro stop, but it is within short walking distance. Other than that, it is convenient to some of DC's more fun neighborhoods.

Definitely would recommend. I love the decor; the location. The staff was very friendly. A very unique and fun place to stay.

Overall, a fun and comfortable place to stay in washington. Definitely hip in decor, not bad pricing, large rooms and great beds. One small point - we asked for a 4am wakeup call (to get to the airport) but it didn't happen. Good thing we set an alarm just in case!

Well situated, ample rooms with interesting sensual decor, lobby had a strange sweetish smell, staff was nice
