Reviews Of Phoenix Park Hotel, Washington DC,

Review by: Dale, Dunkirk, United States

Yes, we would most definitely reccommend the Phoenix Park Hotel to others. We were very impressed with our room and the amenities. Our only dissappointment was the lack of hot water for our showers in the morning. Both of us had to take luke-warm (almost cold) showers and that was a big turn off. The price we paid was an execptionally good value especially, in Washington, D.C.

Would definately recmmend to others. Great rate for a hotel in this location and of this quality. Good Irish bar for drinks and meals attached to the hotel.
The hotel offers parking at $30 per day, but you can park in the Union Station, which is 5 minutes walk away for $19 per day.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to Union Station and catch the Metro. Our room was beautiful. The bed was heavenly. The staff was very helpful. It was better then expected and it was an excellent value for the money. We would highly recommend the Phoenix Park Hotel.

Great value for around $100/night. Located right outside of Union Station & the US Capitol!! Within walking distance of the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and other attractions. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and the staff was pleasant. There was no hot water a couple mornings of our 5-night stay, but this did get corrected. I'd stay there again & recommend the hotel to friends!

I had a hard time finding the hotel at first (there's no illuminated sign at night), but once I got there things went of to great start. Front door and desk staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was kind of small, but well furnished and the bed very comfortable. I didn't get a chance to try the food though, it was 9:45pm when I called room service and nobody picked up since it was near closing time I suppose (10 pm). The hotel has an Irish theme, which I didn't know until I arrived, but it was a nice change. The furniture in the lobby looked worn enough to be originals brought over by Irish settlers, which may have been taken the theme a little too far, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel was really gorgeous, old-fashioned and very romantic. It was exactly what my partner and I were looking for for a romantic night in D.C. It's not at all like the cookie cutter hotels like a Holiday Inn or Hilton where they all look the same. Definitely would stay there again and recommend it to people who are looking for something unique and memorable. The restaurant and bar on the first floor is wonderful, too. I left a sweater in the room and have been having troubles getting it returned, but all in all it was definitely a great stay.

Great location, great staff, bar downstairs, free wireless internet- what could be better? This was my first time staying at the hotel and I would gladly go back the next time I am in DC. It is near Union station- and only a 2 block walk from the Metro.
