Kellogg Conference Hotel at Gallaudet University

Kellogg Conference Hotel at Gallaudet University
the hotel is accommodating

Review by: unfortunates , quezon city, Philippines

Stayed: Apr 2013

it was an experience because when my family arrived at kellogg hotel, my wife was informed that we have no reservation when in fact it was already charge to my credit card. Its good the hotel still accommodated my family and charge the rooms to my wife's credit card which is a lot 'CHEAPER" than skoosh published discounted rate. Please find time to cheack your record as there is a double payment made. One to my credit card and the other to my wife's card.

Review by: Niels Skov, Denmark , Fredensborg, Denmark

The hotel is placed close to Georgetown and you'll find good restaurants and bars nearby.

Try Rasika - that is well worth it!

Great bar at the hotel. Staff was helpful and the rooms well equipped and clean.

Great location. Nice hotel, great pool. Only downside was there was no mini fridge, just to keep water cool would have been great.

A happy experience at The Washington Hilton

Review by: Ed and Terry , Lake Placid, United States

Stayed: Feb 2013

We were very satisfied with our lodging. The service was outstanding upon check-in and check-out. We were very happy finding a pet-friendly hotel in downtown Washington.
Our only complaint was the cost of food and drink in the restaurant. But, overall, we were very happy with our experience. Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Melrose Hotel

Review by: Robyn Jewell , Aranda, Australia

Stayed: Jan 2013

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Washington and if I return I will stay here again. All of the staff were friendly and efficient, from the warm and helpful welcome I received upon arrival to the dining room, room service and concierge staff.

The room I was given was a delight; it was spacious, clean, extremely comfortable and quiet. This hotel was extremely god value for money and my expectations were more than well met.

Capitol Hill Hotel

Capitol Hill Hotel
Good Location, helpful staff

Review by: eulerpath , Princeton, United States

Stayed: Nov 2012

Near Metro and capital hill. Not really a suite. It had a galley kitchen, a sofa and a small table for two. Some items needed repair, and there was a smell in our room. But staff was very cooperative and moved us into a new room when we told them.

Nice buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed. Nice area. Good value for the price.

Donovan House, a Kimpton Hotel

Donovan House, a Kimpton Hotel
Very Fun

Review by: Gabrielle & Scot , Milford, United States

Stayed: Aug 2012

We would recommend this hotel if you are looking for modern decor. The staff is very friendly. The rooms and hotel are clean, but I would recommend that the hotel should install more towel hooks if they expect people to hang up their towels in an effort to being more "green" instead of having them washed everyday (we only had 1 hook).
The rooftop pool and bar was very fun! Be careful, the pool closes around 7pm and then outsiders are allowed to come to the bar by the pool, so it gets into a "club" atmosphere and not suitable for children under 21.
It was easy to grab a cab and/or get to the metro so you have access to the rest of DC.
We enjoyed our stay and will return to this hotel when we come back to DC.

Since I made a reservation thru you, I had a great deal at a very good hotel. This was an old hotel opened in 1930. I was very pleased with the hotel and Yes, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I will also use you again for my family's future trips.

Fairfield Inn Hotel & Suites

Fairfield Inn Hotel & Suites
we really liked the fairfield inn and suites

Review by: june , northants, United Kingdom

Stayed: Oct 2011

This hotel had only been open for about 6 months it was so clean you could smell the cleanliness.Although it was a bit out of the city centre they had a great shuttle service.Complimentary breakfast was very good.Rooms had microwave and fridge staff were very polite and helpful there was ice machine and snack and drink machine on every floor and launderette for use of residents.
The only complaint I had was that they charged me on my card for somethings I paid cash for even though the receptionist assured me it wouldn't be,I am in the process of sorting it now so hopefully it will be sorted.Just watch out for this.

Review by: Barb , Pottstown, United States

Stayed: May 2011

The hotel was convenient for our needs and clean. The only hitch was that on the first morning of our stay we told the maid supervisor and the maid about the loose toilet seat. It was never fixed. The maid had to have noticed when she cleaned. It only required tightening up. The bar was a nice plus for us and the hotel computer printed out our boarding passes. The taxis seemed to be around when we needed them and there were stores and restaurants nearby as well as the Metro station. It was exactly what we needed for this particular trip. And the room was clean, the bed comfortable.

Nice Hotel

Review by: Westin average , Glasgow, United Kingdom

Hotel was clean and comfortable but the staff were unhelpful and the bar staff had a bit of an attitude problem We did not under tip but still did not manage to get a smile from them.
Food was a bit disappointing and cocktails not very good. I expected more from a Westin.

The Eldon Luxury Suites

The Eldon Luxury Suites
Eldon Luxury Suites is convenient to Washington Convention Center

Review by: Joy , Rye, United States

Stayed: Apr 2011

Plusses: The Eldon Luxury Suites is convenient to Washington Convention Center, which is why I chose to stay there. I was not looking for anything fancy - just convenient. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was newly renovated, roof-top exercise room, beautifully decorated (glass art hangs in hallways), and luxuriously large (separate bedroom, kitchen/dining/living area, closets). The shower has a body massage feature. The price was also right.

Minuses: The neighborhood is not pretty- there are several abandoned buildings with boarded up windows and an occasional homeless person resting on the stoop next door. No one was aggressive or threatening, but it was disconcerting to have to walk past this, especially as a single woman late at night. This situation is likely to change soon, as there was much construction going on and I believe those buildings will soon be razed and rebuilt - probably as luxury hotels.

Ok but not memorable

Review by: Stephen , New York, United States

Stayed: Dec 2010

The Bermudian doorman was great and very accomodating. The others didn't open the door.

My expectations were low and were met.

I am not cool or hip enough for this hotel. Service was ok. If booked there again, I'd go if I had a choice I'd consider other options of which the W may be best but I didn't love it

Really great front desk staff; the hotel is worth a recommendation, although there are some maintenance issues and the wait staff in the restaurant are not all as efficient as desirable.
