My 80 year old mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Madison. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was unfailingly attentive and helpful as we tried to sort through getting around with oxygen. Great location, an easy walk to the White House and the mall.

Great location within a couple of blocks to Metro. Great staff, very friendly . Also, Dupont Circle is within reasonable walking distance (5-6 blocks). Dupont Circle has a lot of bars and restaurants.

I've stayed at the Madison many times before. While it bills itself as a "Luxury Class" hotel, it really isn't. The rooms are a bit on the tired side, and furnishings (carpet, drapes) need replacement. But the location is great. It would not be my first choice, unless the rate was really spectacular.

I left the Madison for a conference at the Capitol Hilton a couple blocks away, so have a very direct comparison. I got a better price at the Madison, free internet in the lobby and free access to the exercise room. The Hilton wants extra money for everything with the highest internet prices I have seen anywhere. The rooms are comparable, though amenities are slightly better at the Madison.

Excellent location, close to restaurants, the White House and three blocks from the Metro Station. Good value for the money!

Cold and Old Feeling to the place...

Generally unfriendly bar staff,
Limited Menu,
Overpriced Drinks,

You will want to Eat and Drink Elsewhere..

Very friendly staff. Hotel immaculate and well located in Washington. A little too far from Metro is only drawback.

The Madison Hotel was really a great find. The hotel staff and service was exemplary. They genuinely seem grateful for your business and want to earn your appreciation. The bathrooms are roomy (great for us women!) and the rooms are also spacious. Bed is extremely comfortable and a nice bonus is the massage chair in the room - wow.

A great place to stay if visiting DC since it is downtown but it is also expensive. If you have a car to park expect to pay $35 extra per night. Also, you must pay for internet and any other options.

Location was 2 block from the metro station and 4 blocks from the White House. Safe location and well lit. Excellent value for the money. Only negative was there was poor ventilation for the restroom when you shower. Otherwise, the hotel lobby was great. The rooms were great and well kept. There was free Washington Post at your room every morning and free Financial Times, New York Times and Wall Street Journal in the lobby. If I were to go back to Washington DC, I will definitely return to Madison Hotel.
