I would recommend this hotel to others in terms of its attractive art deco style. It is especially impressive considering the reasonable rates and attractive surrounding neighborhood.

We would recommend it to others who want a quiet residential setting. We have stayed here twice and it met our expectations both times. There are restaurants and markets nearby within walking distance. The suite has a kitchin adequate for simple meal preparation. We have been able to park in the small lot behind the hotel both visits.

The hotel was very well located to Dupont circle and Metro; room was spacious, attractive and clean, on a quiet back courtyard; with a small couch and coffee table; small kitchen was handy.;they didn't have filters for the coffee maker but gave us some oversized ones from the kitchen which worked out fine. We had a corner suite which was larger than average and had lots of windows. Not a steal but overall a good value.
Attractive bar and restaurant but very little business in them from what we saw.
We will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carlyle Suites. The room was clean and art deco modern. We had a little kitchen complete with dishes, silverware and pots and pans. We had no problem getting a free parking space in the hotels lot. There is a resturnat on the first floor that also offers room service if you don't want to go out or cook. There are plenty of resturants in the area, also. The building is a short walk to the Metro or a slightly longer walk to the "Mall". The neighborhood was fun, very cool to walk around. Down sides were we had one large room not a suite as we thought.

Our room was large and airy with 5 windows. The staff were very nice. The only downsides were the lack of wi-fi (in the room, there was a plug in connection ) except for the lobby, and no towel bars in the bath.
Check in was painless and they were very willing to hold our luggage on the last day while we went sightseeing.
