I've stayed here many times. You have to pay a lot, but you're paying for the location, which is a short walk from the White House in one direction and Georgetown in the other, with the Foggy Bottom Metro station just around the corner. The hotel is reasonably comfortable, but nothing spectacular. The TV didn't get very good reception while we were there, but we weren't there to watch TV.
I pay particular attention to exercise facilities, as I am a marathon runner and like to have a treadmill nearby in case of inclement weather. The facility at this hotel is below par, with only a few cheap machines.On the bright side, if the weather is good the concierge is happy to provide you with a map of either a 3 or 6 mile roundtrip run to monuments on the mall.
All in all, I'd recommend this to people who want a good location in D.C. and aren't too picky about the little things.
