Allalin Hotel

This charming little hotel comes highly recommended for groups and individuals wanting to experience typical old fashioned Swiss hospitality.

The hotel is located towards the top end of Zermatt, by the river which flows through the centre of the village. Just opposite is Zermatt's pretty little graveyard and church

The hotel is very traditional in style, constructed of light wood with intricate carving and colourful flower boxes

The lobby area itself is very small, but there is a large seating area adjoining it. The decor is traditional and rustic in style, with lots of carved woodwork and interesting pictures on the walls

The newly renovated rooms vary a lot in style due to the age of the building, but most are small to medium in size. They are all decorated in rustic Swiss style with carved wood ceilings giving them a lovely cosy feel. Many rooms have views of the Matterhorn. Both the rooms and the beautiful, fully tiled bathrooms are now in exceptional condition.
